MY0050 Windows Server 2008 R2 upgrade to Windows Server 2016

Description

Question: We want to upgrade the Windows Server 2008 R2 Domain controller to the Windows Server Version 2016 and the ‘Windows Server 2016 – Domain function Level’ upgrade to the “Windows Server 2016 – Domain function Level’.

All other servers on which current run MyID, SQL, WEB and CA will not be upgraded to the Windows Server Version 2016.

Cause

Server upgrades.

Resolution

As far as we aware, upgrading the domain controllers and raising the domain functional level will not have any adverse affect on member servers, though we are unable to give an authorative answer on this and the customer should refer to Microsoft.

The Hardware and Software guide gives full details of which Windows versions are supported with which MyID versions.
