    Question:

Does MyID have the ability to check for a weak PIN, such as consecutive characters (11111111) or predictable sequences (12345678)?  This applies to any credential where a PIN is being set at issuance, such as smart cards, tokens and virtual smart cards (VSC’s).

    Answer:

MyID does not have any checking for weak PINs.  However, MyID can be configured, in the credential profile, to enforce a strong PIN. This can enforce combinations of numeric, alpha, case sensitive and special characters (&^%$£ etc).  Refer to the correct section of the Administration Guide for your version of MyID.  Typically titled ‘Managing Credential Profiles’.
