Error or issue
Error appears during Genmaster portion of the MyID Installation when creating the Masterkey.
An error occurred in the eKeyMaker component. -2147467260
Description
During Genmaster, Masterkey creation. Select the method of storing the key and click on “Next”. A pop-up gets displayed with the following error message;
An error occurred in the eKeyMaker component. -2147467260
It is not possible to continue with Genmaster past this point.
Cause
The MyID COM User has not been given “Logon as service” in the local security policy. Therefore eKeySrv cannot start.
Missed pre-requisite step.
Resolution
On the Application server :
- Local Security Policy
- User rights assignment
- Logon as service
- Add the COM user to the list of authorised accounts.
- Re-start Genmaster. It should now allow you to create a Masterkey.
