10.2.1 10-Slap fingerprint enrollment

MyID PIV can also be extended to support fingerprint enrollment using a 10-Slap fingerprint capture device. These are also known as 10-Capture, Ten Print, or Multifinger enrollment devices. The devices allow a user to place either four fingers, or both thumbs, on the reader, which are then captured as biometric samples. MyID then processes the images into independent fingerprint templates.

Support for 10-Slap fingerprint enrollment requires additional software to be installed onto your MyID environment. If you would like access to this feature, or want to discuss the use of specific fingerprint readers, contact your Intercede account manager for further details.

10.2.2 Fingerprint ink card capture

MyID provides integration with Aware AccuScan software to capture fingerprint images from an ink card and save the fingerprint samples in MyID database. This integration requires an additional module (FPCARDSCAN) that contains the Aware software required to provide integration with the required document scanners, a MyID server configuration update (CONFIG) patch that customizes the MyID Operator Client forms to include the ink card scanning control, and the Aware Fingerprint Capture (AWAREFP) module.

Contact your Intercede account manager quoting reference SUP-390 for details on obtaining the required updates for your system.
