2.2 Installing the SecuGen drivers and library

Before you install MyID, install the SecuGen reader and drivers. You must install the drivers on each client that is going to use a fingerprint reader.

You must also install the SecuGen library on any client that you intend to use for either enrollment or verification of fingerprints. The library is also required on the server if you are using the SecuGen biometric matching library to carry out verification – see section 2.3, Setting the configuration options for details.

1. Install the drivers on the clients.

   Make sure you close any MyID windows before installing the drivers.

   Important: You must install both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the drivers on the client.

2. On each client, connect the reader in accordance with the SecuGen installation instructions.

3. Install the SecuGen library on the clients and the MyID application and web server.

When using the reader with MyID, make sure that you have connected the reader to the client PC before you open MyID.
